Following the signing ceremony, Professor Dietel and his delegation visited the university’s Mobile Health Technology Achievement Exhibition Center.

During the symposium, Vice President Hu Hua extended a warm welcome to Professor Manfred Dietel and his delegation. He emphasized that the German-Chinese Health Organization and the Sino-German Virchow Joint Institute of Pathology are pivotal partners of the university. Leveraging Germany’s advanced medical technologies, hospital management expertise, and the resource-rich platform of the German-Chinese Health Organization, both sides have established a solid foundation for collaboration. Under the framework of the newly signed agreement, he expressed hope that the strategic focus of cooperation would shift toward clinical medicine to enhance the discipline’s academic and practical development. He further affirmed that through joint efforts, this partnership would not only elevate the capabilities of the university’s affiliated hospitals but also deliver higher-quality medical services to citizens of both nations. Additionally, it is expected to contribute actively to the advancement of global healthcare.

Professor Manfred Dietel stated that through years of collaborative exchanges, the German-Chinese Health Organization and Hangzhou Normal University have forged a profound friendship. He highly commended the remarkable achievements made since the partnership began in 2017 and emphasized that the organization remains open to further in-depth cooperation in various forms, encouraging mutual learning between both parties. Dietel expressed confidence that, given the university’s strong academic capabilities, candid collaboration and steadfast commitment would not only accomplish current objectives but also advance the implementation of additional collaborative projects.
Fei Mu, Vice Chairman of the organization, elaborated on specific collaboration initiatives. These include leveraging remote teleconsultation technology to facilitate the transformation of the Sino-German HZNU Joint Institute of Pathology into a pathological diagnostics and consultation hub, jointly applying for provincial and ministerial-level medical platforms, co-establishing a Sino-German nursing training center, and implementing reciprocal personnel exchange programs.
