Overseas Talent Innovation Base Workstation

Recently, the 16th overseas talents Hangzhou project matchmaking meeting with the theme of "Yunlian Tianxia Zhihui Qiantang" was successfully held. At the meeting, the German-Chinese Health Organization and Hangzhou Virchow Medical Laboratory were awarded the 10th Overseas Talent Innovation Base Workstation under the Hangzhou Association for Science and Technology. It is understood that this is the only Overseas Talent Innovation Base Workstation successfully approved this year, and it is also the first Overseas Talent Innovation Base Workstation in Gongshu District International Talent Entrepreneurship Innovation Park.

The event was co-organized by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) Science and Technology Communication Center, the Hangzhou Municipal Talent Office, and the Hangzhou Association for Science and Technology, with support from the Youth 100 Society of “Technology Innovation China”. The conference adopted a hybrid online-offline format. In addition to the main session, four specialized sub-events were held:

• Italy Green and Low-Carbon Theme Forum

• Overseas Talent Exchange Workshop

• Visas&Ventures Investment Dialogue

• Belgium Study Tour Program

About the Workstation

The East China Office of the German-Chinese Health Organization was established in 2017 to actively promote Sino-German collaborative projects in Hangzhou. To date, it has recruited over 10 international experts, including:

• 1 recipient of the Zhejiang West Lake Friendship Award 

• 2 recipients of the Hangzhou Qiantang Friendship Award for Foreign Experts 

Following the designation as an Overseas Talent Innovation Base Workstation, the organization will leverage its role to:

1. Introduce and promote advanced German technologies and high-quality projects in China, utilizing resources from the German Health Alliance and the German-Chinese Health Organization Alliance.

2. Facilitate multidisciplinary cooperation between Chinese and German enterprises and research institutions in talent exchange, technology transfer, and innovation.

3. Provide healthcare solutions for Chinese companies and research institutions, connecting them with German partners for collaborative opportunities.
